Inspiration Word: RESILIENT

That's my word/theme of the year.

I will be resilient.

When it comes to my writing and my dreams...

When it comes to my children and their fears, tears, joys and celebrations in life...

When it comes to my middle one's allergies, eczema, asthma, and worrying about her health and my ability to manage it, that it becomes an overwhelming mountain on my shoulders...

When it comes to taking care of my family, the cooking, the cleaning, the car rides, the listening, the nurturing, the believing, the supporting, the being...

When it comes to being a true partner with my husband...

When it comes to family and friends, life adventures, joys, frustrations, pains and hardships, and celebrations...

When it comes to taking care of me, and letting my family honor and respect my time, my efforts, my love and my being...

I will be resilient.

Here are some WORDS I've seen around the blogosphere...

[UPDATED Links...]

What's your theme for the year?

I just blogged about mine. My word is "breathe"

Resilient is an excellent word--specific and yet flexible. I wish you a very resilient New Year. :)

I believe I've decided and will post it today!

Very cool! I'd never heard of "words" for a new year before, but I like the idea!

BREATHE is a great word. I've just linked to your post!

Thanks! Here's to a great year to you, too!

You've already taught me resilience, Vivian, in your own beautiful way.

How goes the video work...?

Barrie said...

I don't have a word. Although I like resilient. I think I need more thinking time...

Vivian said...

EMBRACE UNCERTAINTY is a good theme. Here's to a great year!

Thank you. And the video work is going...I'll update you later.

Glad you like RESILIENT. I'm more than willing to share. Can't wait to see what word you come up with.

I like the idea of a word/theme. Saying or thinking it will zap us back to our center when we get close to the frayed ends of ourselves.

Resilient is a great word. Mine is BALANCE. And, freakishly, the word verification on this comment starts with BAL. I think it's a sign.

Vivian said...

Thanks for stopping by.

I think it's a sign, too! Here's to BALANCE!

Be healthy and productive!
I hear you on resilience when dealing with your child's health issues. My daughter has gone to a multitude of specialists over the years, and it certainly takes its toll on her and us! Resilient is a great word for that!

As always, you inspire me with your posts! Resilient is a great word and I wish it upon you in abundance this year.

Vivian said...

It's amazing what these little ones go through...I wish you and your family health and happiness!

Thank you so much. Here's to a wonderful year for you!

Love resilent, Vivian!

This is a great idea. So I'm going with the first thing that came to my mind...Power Through!

I'll add it to my post tonight.

Mine is the same as last year, but I've changed the order.

Create. Connect. Comment.

Right now I'm working on Creating space with the 30 day challenge. (It counts.)

I love "Resilient." I've often wondered if there is some genetic component to people who have more resilience than others. Just a random thought.

Vivian said...

I love yours. What you say makes good sense, It would be nice to have that extra genetic helping of resilience.

I'll link to your post right now.

Cuppa Jolie,
Here's to Powering Through the New Year! I'll link to your post!
