Musings about Children's Books, Authors and readergirlz!!
We watched the Olympics all day yesterday. Did you know the Chinese pick their gymnastics competitors at three years old? That's insane.
I have been watching too. I have enjoyed the gymnastics and swimming. It would not surprise me at all that the Chinese pick their competitors so young.
I am loving the 30 something woman that is competing for Germany. What a story she has!
I haven't watch any yet! Need to do that!
Shawn Johnson is an IOWAN, so it's hard to avoid the Olympics in Smalltown :)
I'm not a big sports person, but even I can't my eyes off any Michael Phelps competition. He's amazing.
Hey Vivian!Yeah! It's good to check out your blog again. TV coverage is a bit scarce where I am (don't have cable) and the CBC tends to show mostly Canadian athltes but I am glued to the TV. I have waited four years for this moment. So exciting. Go USA gymnastics!I'm back in CA next week. Looking forward to getting back to a regular routine.Take care!
Oh boy, it's the best thing about getting back from vacation. Now I can keep track of them via the internet or the TV, both of which were lacking where we were.
I was on the edge of my seat watching gymnastics last night!
I am one of those people who cry while watching the Olympics. I cry when I see Mrs. Phelps cheering. I cry when I see her son cheering for his relay team members, I cry when Shawn Johnson looks as if she might cry.Well. It's just that we all understand what a life effort it all represents. Impossible not to honor that.
Even though I fell asleep during swimming last night, I LOVE IT!
